Did you try to clear cache and clear data for Youtube (in Settings–Apps)?
I’m not sure about reddit videos.
simonKeymasterIn Moto G, GPS is buried under the location settings. There is quick toggle to turn it on/off.
The good thing is that it won’t drain much battery if you just leave it on.
You may try some third-party toggles, for example, Notification toggle ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.notificationToggle) But the GPS in most of these toggles are very likely linked to the location settings page.
simonKeymasterTasks is not available inside Gmail on a mobile device — you’ll need to access it separately. See this official page on this issue: https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/128061?hl=en
There are a few apps for this. But none of them works great.
simonKeymasterHelium probably is the best one if your phone is not rooted.
After installing the app in your Moto G, you need download and run a program on your PC, enable developer options on your Moto G, turn on USB debugging, then connect your Moto G to the PC.
You can then disconnect it from the PC, and use the app on your Android to backup/restore apps.
simonKeymasterYou can install any VoIP clients to make calls through WiFi, for example, Google voice, Skype, Vibrate (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.viber.voip )..
The problem is that it is not free if you call a phone number. It will be free only if both of you are using the same service and are both online. Of course, it is far cheaper than mobile calls.
T-Mobile also offers WiFi calling for some plans.
simonKeymasterIt looks like some Google services or system processes are draining battery. This is quite tricky: it can be sync services (unless you turn sync off globally, turning off internet connection does not turn off these services), it can be calendar services, it can be location services… Unfortunately, after Kitkat update, it is harder to identify unless it is rooted.
For such issues, reboot is usually not sufficient. Sometimes, you need clear the cache partition.
If you can replace the phone without additional charges, I would recommend you to replace it.
simonKeymasterIf you tap screen on the battery usage page, how many hours and minutes are reported?
Anyway, it seems maybe some system processes are draining battery heavily, so, you can shutdown the phone, wait one or two minutes, then power on again.
Occasionally, the battery level is not properly reported. You may check this guide (it was written for Moto X, but it also applies to Moto X): http://motoxhub.com/how-to-solve-battery-life-problem-of-moto-x-after-kitkat-android-4-4-update/
Of course, if none of these works, you may ask the local service centre to check the hardware.
simonKeymasterNo, GPE can only install apps that are not tied to any vendors’ firmware.
simonKeymasterWhat is the screen time?
You can check the battery usage to find out whether you can find out the app that actually drains battery.
You can also try this app to force some inactive apps to sleep. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify
(you need add third-party apps to the list. When you are no going to use the phone for more than 2 hours, you can force the apps to sleep.)simonKeymasterI’m not aware of any specific issues with the Gallery app.
If you do not like reboot your Moto G, you can try to get this free app: Greenify (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oasisfeng.greenify ). You can try to force the apps to sleep so that apps may have less issues.
simonKeymasterThree-way calling on mobile network need firmware support and carrier support. Third-party apps usually cannot do much.
However, if WiFi is readily available, you can try Google Hangouts.
simonKeymasterNo, as I know.
simonKeymasterIn Moto G, there is no native app for video calls.
You can use many third-party apps, e.g., Hangouts, to make video calls.
simonKeymasterApp crashing usually is due to insufficient ram or conflicts of apps.
You can try to reboot the phone to see whether it works.
