How can I make a screen shot with my Moto G?

  Hi,
  
  I followed the following procedure to make a screen shot :
  
  How to take screenshot on Moto G (without using apps)
  
  It says to press and hold both the power button + volume down button. This only turns my phone off, there is no screen shot found in my Gallery.
  
  What am I doing wrong?

  You need practice. If the phone reboots, it means you pressed the power button too early.

  Oh, my mistake : I was pressing the + end, and it has to be the – end. Works fine now! Thanks.
