There’s no option to disable voice commands. In settings it is defaulted to always “ON” and cannot be turned off. Unable to type a message, surf the app store, send email, search, or much else without the dreaded “SPEAK NOW” popping up.
First smartphone and it was fine until this happened. Also several new apps appeared that I did not subscribe to.
Sure could use some help?
Which voice command? For Google Now voice command, you can go to All apps–Google settings–Search & Now–Voice –OK Google detection, to disable it.
But for Google Now launcher, you cannot remove the Google search bar. You can try other launcher if you want to remove the Google Search bar.
