    • moto g camera does not come on phone says allow permissions but camera will not turn on after allowing

      • Is it the stock camera app, or a third-party camera app?

Anyway, you can reset the app. Tap and hold the camera app icon (not to open the app), tap the "i" icon in the context menu, tap Storage and cache, then tap Clear storage, and clear cache. Now, open the app again.

    • hey i have recently bought moto g9 phone. but i get to know that slow motion is not available for front camera. and you tube video resolution is also 720p only not above that. tell me about this problems so i can fix it.

      • The front camera on Moto G9 does NOT support slow motion. It can only capture videos at 30fps.

But it does support full HD (1080p). You can record a video and check the details.

    • WHAT IS THIS ICON? IT'S ON A G4 MOTO. IN STATUS LINE, LOOKS LIKE AN "N" WITH MIDDLE LINE BROKEN AND HOOKED"

After upgrading my Moto g2 to Android 6.0 from lollypop, I'm unable to use 3G data. Only 2G data is recognised by my phone. Tried by removing the sim card and inserting again, restarted and put airplane mode but without success.
Please help me with this issue.

      Regards,
      Ranjith

      • Did you check volume settings?

Anyway, if the phone cannot make any sound, you probably have to backup the phone and try a factory reset, or visit the local service center.

    • Hi, I am facing very strange problem after marshmellow 6.0 update. Before the update, it was working fine, but after installing lollipop, i cant get audio during voice calls whether its incoming call or outgoing. Though restarting also not helped. Is there any permanent solution?

    • yeah this is the only solution.Every time i have to reboot the phone when RAM usage is high but it's a temporary solution for few hours. But the condition remains the same

    • I got updates notification for my motog 3g. After updating my got locked. When i open any app. My mobile shows that it's locked and i didn't set any lock. I am unable to open this lick pattern. Please help.

    • Ok, love my Moto G Gen 2, but and this is becoming a huge but. The free memory. After updating to Android 6 my free memory is down to 30mb out of 891mb. the android os seems to be taking up the largest chunk of this. courtesy of this, whenever on facebook (for example) if I click on a link, to open a new page, it will show for about 10 seconds and then close that page down and go back to the facebook page. is there anyway that this can be altered, fixed. it is driving me slightly mad. hoping you can help

      • Not sure about the issue. Marshmallow itself doesn't take more RAM. Actually Facebook is a resource hogger.

Did you try to clear cache partition?

        • I am also facing the same issue of RAM usage after marshmallow update.Almost all of the RAM is used.Is there any solution for this or how i can revert back to android lolipop. Please help

          • Android update cannot be reverted. You have to visit the service center if you need old version of Android. They may help you flash the version you want.

For RAM usage, you can reboot the phone to see whether it helps.

    • i updated to marshmallow, after instaling it started optimising apps but after its done it continues doing the same and optimices again. i restarted by presing the power button upto 8 sec or 10 it restarts but continues optimicing and repeats . plz help

      • Please be patient. You need wait it till finishes. After each reboot, you have to start the optimizing apps procedure, no exceptions.

As mentioned in other replies, this is due to apps that are not updated for long time. You may consider to uninstall apps that you are not using any more.

    • Have tried to download Device Manager without success. When trying to open file 'Unspecified problem' notified.
Initially Moto G was recognised and I could transfer files. However, on second attempt to transfer files, Moto not recognised. Have tried several un-/re-installs, but no luck. My PC is 64-bit, could it be that download is 32-bit and causing problem? If so, how do I obtain correct software? If not, any thoughts?

      • Motorola device manager works with both 32bit and 64bit machines. It is not necessary to re-install several times. What you really need is the USB driver.

After connecting Moto G to the PC, you should check the notifications on the phone. You need also check device manager on the PC if Moto G is not recognized.

    • Hi I updated my Moto G 2nd Gen to Android 6.0.When my phone is in locked position and I try to switch it on,I am pretty sure I had on the left the "Call" sign ,"lock" sign in the middle and the "camera" sign on the right to unlock the phone. Now the left "Call" sign is replaced by the "voice command" sign..
      Can I change this back?

      • After getting Marshmallow update, the bottom left should be Google Now voice icon, not phone. You can swipe up to unlock the phone. If lock screen security is not swipe, you can tap the emergency button below the keypad to make b emergency calls. The phone icon in the lock screen on lollipop is for emergency calls only ( you need define ICE group in contacts app). You cannot use it for other calls.

Google Now launch doesn't allow you to customize the lock screen. If you really want to change it, you can try third party launchers. Some lock screen apps may also have this feature.

    • How do you remove names from the "speed dial" page. Its to easy to inadvertently hit a name when putting the phone away or simply touching the phone

        • After upgrading my moto g2 to Android 6.0 I can't open games likes d-day,virtual tennis and fifa14,so can you tell why is that happening and can you pliz help me fix the problem?

    • I've accidentally put a password on the phone, every time i open it i have to use the password to open my phone. How do i get rid of it please

      • Voicemail is managed by your carrier (phone company), not your phone. You need check with them to modify the password for voicemail box.

    • In my moto g2 mobile home screen am swiping left page its come Google Page how can I remove this please help me.

      • it is better to check with your phone company on how to divert calls. In this case, the calls are diverted when your phone is off.

if you really want to do this on your phone, you can open Phone app, switch to call history, tap menu key (3 vertical dots) in top right, tap settings, tap call settings--, tap call forwarding.

    • I cannot locate photo gallery on Moto G since new android updates. Help please. Tons of precious photos I need

      • An update should not delete you photos. But if you reset (factory data reset) the phone, all your files in the internal storage will be removed.

Can you find the Gallery app?

All you photos should saved in DCIM/camera folder (both internal storage and SD card should have this folder). You can check the files on PC or with a file explorer (e.g., ES File Explorer)

    • I dont know what carrier my phone is. So therefore im not able to call or receive calls. Im currently using a tmobile sim card for my motorola moto g 2014 phone. What is wromg with my phone.?
